Te Hoiere Guesthouse

Our dog-friendly marina-side one or two bedroom guest suite offers a private entrance, sun-porch and fully fenced cottage garden. Either catered, with an ever changing seasonal menu featuring local and homegrown produce, or self catered. Whatever works for you. We are within metres of the glassy water, boat ramp and the Pelorus Mailboat. Off-street parking for vehicle and boat. Full Sky TV connection, Fibre WIFI, bluetooth soundbar and smart TV. Stocked kitchenette. Complimentary continental breakfast. A short stroll to the central village, eateries, recreational facilities, walking tracks and tourist attractions.

We aim to provide you with the best food in town. We offer an ever changing menu of dishes made from local and home-grown seasonal produce.You can choose from our menu, or self cater. Whatever works best for you. A complimentary full continental breakfast comes with your suite.

We can have a hot meal ready for your arrival. We will send you a confirmed menu the day before you travel. Special dietary requirements and requests can be accommodated. Just let us know.

Private Suite

One or two bedroom fully equipped self-contained private suite. King and twin single sized beds with crisp cotton sheets. Ensuite bathroom. Ecostore toiletries. Private entrance, sun porch, fully fenced cottage garden, and stocked kitchenette. Everything that you need, with a few extras too.

Pet Friendly

Bring your dog along. They will love it. There are more sticks than you can shake at stick at. Your garden courtyard is fully fenced. Both the waterfront and sports field are within 100 metres of your front door. A kennel is available if you prefer your dog to sleep outside. Cats can be accommodated too if needed. While we love dogs and there's no extra charge for canine companions, we do have a two dog limit.

Bring the Boat

Enjoy the best cruising waters in Aotearoa. Lose yourself in the endless nooks and crannies of the Sound. Paddle or putt up Te Hoiere awa. Off-street parking for car and boat within 100 metres of the busy boat ramp. Twelve metre marina berth available by arrangement.

Central Location

In the heart of the upper South, Motuweka/Havelock is gateway to many wonderful attractions. The Nydia Track, Link Pathway, Queen Charlotte Sound, Port Underwood, Nelson Lakes National Park, Tennyson Inlet, D'Urville Island, French Pass can all be comfortably seen on a day trip. We can pack you a picnic if you like. We are surrounded by swimming holes and walking tracks.

The Pelorus Mail Boat departs within 100 metres of your suite and offers a spectacular day on the water. The Marlborough wine district, with its many world class eateries, is 30 minutes' drive. Whakatu/Nelson is a one hour drive away, Waiharakeke/Blenheim 40 minutes, and Waitohi/Picton 50 minutes.
